Lara B Couture has done an extensive risk assessment of its boutique to make it safe and comfortable for all it's customers, during this pandemic.
Keeping us all safe is our priority when opening again. As well as extreme measures for safety, we also want to keep our service as comfortable and special, as we can too.
We have the following temporary measures in place to follow every guideline our Government and RBA has stated. We hope these will ease further, but until then we hope you can understand and adhere to follow them for your dress shopping journey. Memories you will laugh and remember about one day, we are sure.
1. We can only allow ONE guest into store with you, the bride-to-be.
2. You will both have to wear a face mask, as will Lara and staff, please.
3. We will ask you to please use our provided sanitiser on entry, and we certainly have plenty of it!
4. ALL gowns tried on will have to be quarantined for 72 hrs, so yourself and the next bride are fully protected. We have all measures in place for this to happen.
We have chosen to operate a service with just one new bride per week, on a Saturday only, until this rule relaxes. This way every bride has the choice of everything we have to offer!
5. We need to all try and keep our 2m distance, however this will be hard at times, while fitting, pinning, creating! Please be aware of this and only book with us if you can adhere to all the rules please.
We know this isn't the experience you dreamed of. It's certainly not the service we usually give. However, together we will still be comfortable, safe, giggle, inspire and have memories forever.
We hope you have done your research before booking with us. You will understand our service is bespoke and very flexible on design. Please have a good browse of our pages, our social media to see what service we offer. It's a very personal and inspiring experience, and we love being able to create the most perfect gowns for our brides. Lara is always friendly and very passionate about her work and her connection with every bride.
We usually give a six month lead time, so knowing this, do not panic and visit us earlier than needed. Possibly wait until further restrictions are lifted if you do not want your experience with masks and restrictions.

Alterations are a key part in the perfect fitting of our dresses. The Lara B Couture collection has a bodice toile included into its service. Other tweaks and hem lines are an extra cost, discussed at purchase.
We also undertake alterations for brides who haven't bought their dress from us. These costs can usually cost an average of about £200 - £250, for a hem and bodice size change. POA.
All alterations are carried out by our talented seamstress, Sue. All fit changes are carried out on site by Lara, who will pin and tuck where needed.
Booking an appointment
Appointments last an hour and a half and we operate a 1:1 appointment service. You and your guests will be the only party in the boutique with our sole attention.
If you are wanting one of our highly sought after appointments, we do kindly ask for a £15 booking fee, refundable with a dress purchase at the appointment. Appointment fees are payable by card over the phone, so please call

Should you wish to cancel your appointment we ask for 72 hours notice prior to the appointment and we will refund your fee, without this notice period we are unfortunately unable to give you a refund.

We pride ourselves at Lara B Couture on being a luxury, atelier, designer boutique with a service to match. When you arrive to your appointment you will be greeted by Lara and her assistant consultant, who will then get to know you better by talking through your ideas and your bigger picture of your big day. After a chat, we will try on the collection of mainly separate options and dresses. We will help create your perfect dress design by mix and matching the options. We are here to help guide you and pass on all the knowledge and advice we can. Our honesty comes highly recommended from our previous brides and guests.
We ask that all brides come to their appointment on time, unfortunately we are unable to offer a waiting area at Lara B and we like each bride to receive a completely private and personal experience, so if you do arrive a little early, Newmarket has bars, cafes and restaurants for you to relax in prior to your appointment.
Please share your experience with guests but we recommend you only bring 2-3, as more can cause you more stress and confusion.
Please note that we don’t allow photographs at Lara B Couture. Please ensure your guests know this before your appointment. If you have friends or family that are unable to make your appointment we love nothing more than using FaceTime and video zoom or similar methods to involve them in the process.
Your dress will take time to be made once ordered and you will also need to allow for alterations. The average timescale for this is between 6-7 months prior to the wedding.
However, we appreciate some have less time, so there are lots of other options, so don't panic and ask! If we can make you a dress in time, we will.
