Our film star bride, Jenny.
We are so excited to share with you our beautiful bride, who got married this Summer.
Jenny first crossed path's with us about four years ago, when we launched our Lara B Couture collection. Jenny was our model for the launch, in collaboration with Scott-wood photography and Boe from Botias, who did all the hair and make-up, at The Garden Barn, Little Bradley.
We all had fun on the shoot and Jenny was a natural and said she'd come and see me if ever she got married. Although, extremely flattered, we didn't really think this London based, actress and model would really venture back to little old Newmarket!
How wrong were we! Last year we saw Jenny had got engaged and a few months later we got the call! We were so excited and hugely honoured.
Jenny is a bit of a little celebrity, as she has done lot's of modelling but mainly acting and dancing on the stage and in film. Recently, she was in the new Judy Garland film with Renne Zellweger. She is currently working on the new Cruella De Vil film, starring Emma Stone and Emma Thompson, so we look forward to seeing her in that film next year too.
Jenny and her husband Will Bozier met while both in the stage show 'Wicked', at Apollo Victoria in London's West End, and that was almost six years ago.
Will is a very talented ballet dancer and is currently the lead man in Matthew Bourne's 'Swan Lake' and currently travelling the world on tour. Just fitting the wedding into their schedules was an effort!
The dress search!
Jenny came to us last year to buy her dress. We created a bespoke gown from our own collection. A true Jenny style dress, full of Sass and fun! This Leeds lass is down to earth, Fun, Unpretentious and a joy to be around. Nothing diva about her, lol.
The dress was actually a doddle! Jenny knew instantly when she found the right combination of designs. Trying on our separate options she chose our 'Sapphire' bodice but changed the design slightly to make it completely strapless, as it did have straps originally. The under skirt was a fitted fish tail crepe shape but with a detachable tulle skirt overlay. Jenny is a secret Princess really. The combination was just beautiful and effortless for her too.
Jenny visited us about 5 months before the day for her first toile fitting (Bodice mock up) to get a snug and perfect fit. As Jenny was busy in her film schedule and living in London, we needed to illuminate lot's of fittings, so the toile just took the headaches away and meant only two further fittings in store. Her visits were by train from London, and a breeze, as Newmarket has a small train station.
The wedding day!
Jenny and Will got married on Sunday 30th June 2019.
The marriage took place in a little village (not even big enough to be a village really!) called Bolton Percy on the outskirts of York. A little chocolate box place, with a medieval pub next to the church and a small cattle farm opposite! Her friends from London had never seen anything so picturesque! The Church and the wedding reception venue were three minutes drive apart.
After the ceremony it was time to party! And boy did they all party. A lovely sunny day, in the beautiful venue of Hornington Manor. Enjoying drinks and canapes on the lawn, they were all serenaded by their singer Ed.
Inside they enjoyed amazing food and more drinks. Jenny and Will said the staff and manager of events at Hornington Manor, were absolutely amazing. They felt like part of their day which ran so smoothly. The atmosphere were electric and they were so warm and friendly.
The cake was a gift from a lovely lady called Janette, who is the Auntie of Jenny's Brother's, Fiance.
The dress was a duchess satin bodice with Chantilly lace over and Gupuire hand cut applique's added to add texture, depth and beautiful detail to the shoulder drop. The under skirt was crepe with Gupuire details trailing on to it. Then the removable over skirt of six layers of soft tulle!
With the band 'The Ways', playing for our first dance 'L.O.V.E' by nat king cole... then we went into Eternal's 'I wanna be the only one' at which point Jenny ripped off her top layer of dress to reveal the dress underneath and everyone loved it... including Will who had no idea!
Then they partied until the early hours!!
The end to what was a epic wedding. Full of memories to last their life time.
We absolutely loved having Jenny, her Mum and Mother-in-law in store. We wish you so much happiness for the future. We look forward to seeing you pop up again soon on our screens!
