2020 dresses are in design!

What a successful and very busy season we have had this year. Probably one of our busiest too, so we are delighted so many brides have chosen Lara B Couture for their special dress.

This year was the first year we only offered our own in-house collection to our brides. No other supporting designers, which we have always felt security with. No more free, pretty images from suppliers and no more Social Media links with them either! A daunting thought for Lara, the owner and designer of Lara B Couture back in 2018, when the decision was taken to diversify the range. But my goodness a plan that has been a better success than she could ever have imagined.

Being a designer is a special tool to have in a competitive industry. However, a designer who is always on the shop floor, seeing every customer that walks through our doors, is a designer who is on the ball. No sitting in around in glitzy design rooms, dreaming of trendy, cool designs, getting excited with flamboyant fabrics that the real person can not afford. Lara does sit in a very special environment with-in the boutique, but she is grounded to what her brides want and desire. She is the best listener and the best at knowing what brides really want. Hearing new idea's and being able to react quickly to changes, is a win, win scenario.

The reviews and feedback we get from all our customers, and brides who pass through without buying even; is that we are honest, knowledgeable, personal and most of all flexible in what our range offers. Every customer deserves this and every customer is our advert, so it is so important to be the best we can be for you all.

So, as the season starts to slow down and we start to catch our breath again, Lara is back to creating again. She has a list as long as her arm with idea's and inspiration. Her key inspiration is simple, classic shapes with a twist of pretty. Even some strapless styles are heading back to the collection! Lara is so excited to be back behind the sewing machine and getting creative again. Next month is the fabric trade show, so she is looking forward to sourcing some amazing new fabrics there too.

Hopefully over the next few weeks and months you will start to see her new designs come to life and try in store. We can't wait to see what she does! We know she won't disappoint us.

As a reminder of time scales, we recommend orders are made at least six months in advance of the wedding or event. This is a standard, comfortable lead time for all. However, we can always look at shorter time scales and will always endeavour to help any one. We do have a small sale rail of ex-samples. These are always at a discounted price of about 50%, so a real bargain. When our order books are filled for a period of time, we can't take more, so never delay with us. June 2020 is already filling up fast!!!
